Howdy. Todd Myers here. I do the PR for Hillary Will and Team Kalitta and I will be your host for this blog and for the race for the Scott Kalitta Memorial Trophy. We are all looking forward to going to Australia and spending time with each other and racing our dragster, but we are all very aware that the reason for our trip is to honor our friend, our hero and our champion Scott Kalitta. So, when you are spending time with your families over this Holiday season, please remember Scott's family - Kathy, Corey, Colin and Connie and Doug.
Okay, time to get some last minute packing done and head for the airport in a couple hours. Our flight out of Detroit is scheduled to leave at 4:00 p.m. (ET). We have a layover in Chicago and then a layover in San Fran before the 'long' flight overseas. We are scheduled to take off from SFO at 10:30 p.m. and arrive in Sydney at 8:00 a.m. on the 22nd. With all the wintry weather we have here in beautiful, crime-free Detroit Rock City and in the Windy City, I just hope we have smooth 'sailing'. Cross your fingers! I will check in again soon!
